Bach Flower Remedies in coaching

Bach Flower Remedies are a beautiful and powerful tool to use in a coaching setting. When working with a client I may select appropriate remedies based on the discussions we have in a coaching session. Or, my preferred method is to invite my clients to intuitively pick the remedies they feel are right for them. These remedies will reveal a narrative of the clients current emotional state. This narrative then informs our discussions and, I find, usually brings forth underlying experiences and influences which would otherwise go ignored, unacknowledged or unknown. Using the remedies always results in deeper work much more quickly than conventional coaching alone. Then, the combination of talking therapy, the flower remedies and Kinesiology for energy balancing all work together to support dynamic personal growth for the client.

The History of Bach Flower Remedies

Bach Flower Remedies were discovered in the 1920s and 30s, by Dr Edward Bach, a well known bacteriologist, physician, and pathologist. Dr Bach discovered that for each human emotional state or pattern, there is a flower whose essence possesses an equal and opposite pattern. When taken, these remedies will balance emotions and this emotional balance will allow your body to find its own natural state of health.

The remedies will balance emotions and allow your body to find its own natural state of health.

Dr. Bach was ahead of his time by understanding the concept that emotional ill health can lead to physical dis-ease. He dedicated the latter years of his life developing a simple, gentle and very effective system of natural medicine which would be accessible to all. He identified 38 different flower remedies, and categorised them into seven emotional groupings for ease of use. These are the same 38 remedies we use today and the emotional grouping enable us to select those most suited to the situation of a client.
